Learn to Read:  This website has a selection of 15 different interactive stories for grades K through 2.  It offers themes to meet students’ interest levels and focuses on different vowel and consonant blends.  Music and phonics introduce the story, and then students can click to read by themselves.  Learning games are included with each of the stories.

Reading Rockets:  This website prides itself in teaching kids to read and helping those who struggle.  It also offers a list of 12 reading comprehension apps that provide practice with sequencing, inferencing, word awareness, and mind mapping.

Free Rice:  A child dies every 6 seconds from hunger related causes and this website is here to stop this while educating children in the process. This website provides questions for students at grade level in any subject area. Each answer the student answer correctly 10 grains of rice is donated to designated areas where there are starving child. Students can make an account to track the rice they have donated. This is all paid for by sponsors. Kids are learning subject matter and helping the world at the same time!
